Soft Charcoal Soldering Block

Great for soldering and for melting small amounts of metal, this block is made from select, close-grained, knot-free hardwood, specially prepared and treated for optimum performance. Charcoal under your flame creates a reducing atmosphere for a cleaner soldering environment. The block reflects heat back to the work for maximum soldering results. Carve the soft surface of the block or embed items in it for soldering. To help retain the block shape, wrap the sides tightly with binding wire before use.
